Rustic Farmhouse Style Prosecco Dining table, with integral Ice Buckets.

Handmade in Outwood, Surrey by The Table Guy, this unique Prosecco Dining Table can be in a variety of widths from a modified table with a width of 800mm that has 4 scaffold boards but has 25mm trimmed from one edge, a 900mm wide table that is 4 scaffold boards and a 5 scaffold board table that an ample 1100mm wide.

Please ask if you want an even wider table than 5 scaffold boards, take a look at our Square Prosecco Tables or ask about a totally bespoke table.

Our standard length tables are from 1500mm to 3200mm long but you can have any length in between, all made from reclaimed wood. If you require a longer table we do offer banqueting tables from 3.3m up to a huge 3.8m.

The unique Prosecco Dining Table also contains two cavity troughs (one trough if your table is under 2m). Each trough has its own wooden lid so they can be used as a cool box, ice box, storage box, a mixture or even an indoor herb garden, all depends on the occasion.

THE FRAME:

The frame is constructed from 75mm chunky square legs with the option to have the end stretcher and central runner (refectory style) or not (options in the drop down box). Made from reclaimed wood and builder’s off-cuts / extra's (where possible).

The rustic sturdy frame is sanded then applied with two coats of Farrow and Ball paint with a colour of your choice.

THE TABLE TOP:

Constructed from sections of used scaffold boards.

The boards benefit from repeated sanding that are then stained with Manns environmentally friendly, high quality, water-based wood stain for interior wood (with a colour of your choice). The top is then protected with Fiddes Hard wax oil, a premium hard wax oil for interior wood surfaces made from a blend of natural oil and waxes.

THE DESCRIPTION: (the Xtra-Factor):

More about the Prosecco Table’s unique feature!

On first sight the table looks like any other farm house dining, refectory table however when you remove two sections of scaffold board (lids), two cavity troughs are revealed, these not only give your table great everyday versatility but also a talking point on every occasion.

When filled with ice, the cavity troughs become central ice buckets comfortably housing numerous Prosecco, wine and beer bottles or drinks of you and your guests favourite tipple, complemented by beer bottle openers attached to each table leg (optional).

The ice buckets are also fitted with a tap on the underside for simple draining of water from resulting melted ice.

Alternatively, you may want to use your trough for a variety of potted growing mixed herbs or flowers, serving not just as an attractive centrepiece yet also for guests to add to dishes as required.

Why not impress your diners with an electric hot plate (not included) placed between the troughs and use one of the troughs as an ice cooler for your food, perfect for long casual evenings.

When the trough covers are replaced, the cavity becomes a storage area for those items that every table seems to collect. The troughs are deep enough to house beer sized bottles and still cover with the lid.

DESIGN:

This is a bespoke table, so the design can be modified to suit existing dining chairs so that they all fit between the legs of the table comfortably. Please note that the end and central stretcher may impede on certain types of chairs fitting under the table, if this may be the case the stretcher can be lowered or you have the option not to have the refectory style table.

If you would prefer non-reclaimed wood, please ask before ordering

  1. Confirm the length of your table. Consider any existing chairs and available room space, choose the nearest length in the drop box, add exact length in the options field if different. To help you with deciding on lengths and widths of your rustic table we have a Design page that may answer some of your questions.
  2. IMPORTANT: Decide if you require detachable legs or fixed (Please check your access)
  3. Confirm the width of your table. We have two standard widths, 900mm (4 boards) wide & 1100mm (5 boards) wide and a modified width of 800mm where 4 scaffold boards are each trimmed by about 25mm.
  4. Confirm table colour (frame). Farrow and Ball (Eggshell Estate) have a huge range of shades that can be viewed online and are stocked by most B & Q’s & Homebase stores.
  5. Confirm table top stain. We mainly use Manns Natural Stain. If you require samples (recommended) Please list 3 to 4 preferred colours, samples will then be posted.

You can notify us of your colour and stain choices after placing an order, in which case, add TBC to colour and stain choices.

The size of the troughs are;

Cool Box x 2: (tapered)

Length – 560mm / 22”

Width – 260mm / 10 ¼”

Depth – 240mm / 9 ½”

PLEASE NOTE:

Larger dimensions are approximate +/- 20mm.

The ice box will produce a certain amount of condensation when filled with ice, as would any ice bucket.

After draining the ice bucket by the tap, a small amount of water will remain and will need to be removed by a sponge.

Each scaffold board has its own unique history therefore the wood stains may vary slightly, more so on the lighter stains.

Should you order a fixed leg table, please note that these legs can not be removed at a later date, so please check your access or if in doubt please consider ordering detachable legs.
