DELIVERING YOUR TABLE
To avoid any confusion when it comes to delivering your table, please read through all of the following;
When you place an order for your Rustic Table, we will do our best to deliver your table in the estimated timeline stated on the home page but this is an estimate only.
Due to the COVID-19 situation we are subject to Government intervention, our suppliers delivery times & local lock-down implications etc.
Our peak periods are generally from March, through to August and mid-October through to mid-December when our lead-times will increase. If you are considering ordering during this busy period and you require your table by a set date, please ask before ordering. Alternatively, if you are able to order early, then please visit our promotions page where we often run discounts during our quieter times.
*Current estimated delivery times are stated on our Main Page.
The delivery estimates start from the 1st working day after ordering or from the date of payment / deposit.
At The Table Guy we use our own designated one man delivery service (Mark) that we charge a set fee of £80.00 within 100 mile radius from RH1 5QU, outside this area, we charge an additional fuel surcharge of £0.25 per mile above the 200 miles (round trip). The surcharge will be calculated using Google Maps and would be payable on delivery by cash or bank transfer. Please note that outside 200 mile range, we reserve the right to use a courier.
Our driver (Mark) WILL require assistance to move your rustic table from the van into your garden or home.
The tables can be in excess of 100kgs, so the person or persons will need to be strong.
As a guide only (for homes with easy access);
1.5m table to 2.0m table, 1 person required.
2.1m table to 3.0m table, 2 extra persons and,
3.1 up, a minimum of 3 extras persons will be required.
If your table requires turning on its side, additional help will be required.
If extra help is not possible on the day of delivery, please contact us before placing an order.
Due to Health and Safety regulations, our driver, Mark is not insured and will be therefore not be able to lift over walls, obstacles & fences etc. please double check your access! If in doubt about access, please consider detachable legs.
Stage 1: After you place an order, you will receive an automated email from our online shop. The first working day, we will send another email to the email address provided, confirming your order.
Regarding delivery, if any days are not convenient, please inform us at this point so we can schedule your delivery accordingly, otherwise there may be a delay in delivery.
Stage 2: 1 - 3 days before delivery, we will email you with the day we plan to deliver and a 4 hour window in which we plan to deliver.
Stage 3: Lastly, on the day of delivery, we will email you an updated ETA. Please bear in mind that traffic will play a large part in how accurate this will be. If you have other plans on the day it might be prudent to choose another delivery day, just in case. We can not be held responsible for any such delays whatsoever and in most cases will not abandon delivery once we are on the way, so a delivery may well be after normal work hours.
Our driver (Mark) will have your contact details and will call you about an hour or so before arriving.
If we deliver your table (not a courier) our charges includes assembly of your table (if required). If we use a courier to deliver your table as you are outside the 100 mile radius you will be emailed instructions on how to assemble to table.
Alternatively, for deliveries over 100 miles, we may use a courier or you may use an online van delivery comparison site like, Shiply.com or AnyVan for example. If you do use a third-party delivery service, please ensure they are fully insured and all T & C’s are known in advance.
Delivery of any order shall be deemed completed when we deliver the table to the address you have supplied or a carrier organised by you, has collected from us, the table will then be your responsibility from that time.
Please double check the access to your property before ordering.
Unfortunately, if access isn’t possible, then we reserve the rights to:
a) leave the table with you until you find extra help,
b) charge you for the costs (including insurance) of storing the items until actual delivery (£75 per week),
c) charge you to redeliver and,
d) charge for any modifications that may be required (if possible),
e) or in the worst case scenario, for a new table.
All our standard tables are completely fixed together so they do not dismantle, unless you have ordered the detachable leg version. If access isn't possible because of this, a new table would be required to be made at additional cost.
Please bear in mind that most tables come with a central stretcher, so if a table is required to be turned on its side to gain access, then manoeuvring around corners will be very limited. Please remember help will be required, details above.
If access isn't straight forward (requires turning on its side to get through gates, alleys and so on) then we can not accept any responsibility for any damage caused to the table or property.
As our Mark (our driver) will be on a tight schedule, he will unfortunately not be unable to wait around for extra help to arrive or for fence panels etc to be removed, so please do be as organised as possible - thank you so much.
The vehicle that Mark will be using is a White Renault and it is rather large (6.5 metres long, 2.45 metres wide and 3.2 metres high), so please advise if there are any problems with vehicle access and possible obstacles.
If you have chosen to pay your balance on delivery, please make sure that this is completed before we unload.
Thank you so much for reading this far - I & we hope you love the table as much as we did making it - Jezz and the Table Guy Team. (please don't forget to read the Design page :-) )
As your table is totally bespoke to you, we can't accept any cancellations after your order has been placed.
Please read through this page & our Design page carefully before ordering.
